The Women’s Enterprise Network (Strathearn) held it’s second meeting in Auchterarder last week. The network is designed to support women starting, running or growing a business in rural Perthshire or even for those who are thinking about it. It’s a free event and will start with a light buffet, followed by an informal chance to meet other like-minded women, meet some of the Growbiz team and of course hear from our inspirational speaker.
This month the speaker was Clare Pinchbeck from Hettie’s Tearoom in Pitlochry who shared the story of Hettie’s. How it has grown from a small local tearoom thanks to hard work and a solid vision of what it should be. The discussion around systems and the use of social media and self marketing were very helpful to most of the attendees.
Of course, there were many questions for Clare at the end of her presentation and the answers both from Clare and the other attendees were enlightening. Of course there were also quite a few questions about cake which Clare was very happy to answer along with an invite to attend the Tearoom.
The next meeting of the Women’s Enterprise Network (Strathearn) is on Wednesday 20th June at the Auchterarder Church Community Centre. If you are a local businesswoman or thinking of becoming one, why not join us?
