Auchterarder Old Church

The remains of Auchterarder Old Church, the medieval Parish Church of Auchterarder are situated approximately 1 kilometre to the North of the town at West Kirkton.  This church was abandoned after being replaced by a more convenient building which was built within the town of Auchterarder.

Dedicated to St Kessog there are records pertaining to this church going as far back as the 1200s.  As part of the Diocese of Dunblane it appears to have been of some import in the Diocese at that time with note of it being used as the venue for a meeting of the D

There is little to be seen today due to the amount of vegetation within the area although some of the features of the main building can still be seen.
