This year you can shop local from the comfort of your own armchair. The local community website Auchterarder.net has started a new section the Auchterarder Marketplace and is ready to showcase artists and crafters from around the area.
The first two local creatives to put items on the site are Horseshoe Signs and Hearts and Plastics Free.
Horseshoe Signs and Hearts are a local blacksmith making bespoke metalwork with used horseshoes and other metals. Their decorative whisky barrel lids are a beautiful original piece that would add a unique feature to any home.
Plastics free offer beeswax wraps and hand decorated cotton tote bags to help start you on your journey to using less plastic. With a gift box in the works ready for Christmas with even more ways to help you stop single use plastic, it’s a great way to encourage friends and family to start helping our oceans.
With Christmas fast approaching why not check out the Marketplace and see when there are new items in stock? It’s a great opportunity to find out what is available locally and help support our local small businesses.
If you are a local artist, crafter or creative, why not sign up to be a vendor and help local residents shop local in the run up to Christmas? It’s easy to do, just click on the link here and follow the easy instructions.
